Can i use floetrol with alkyd paint

I use floetrol even when spraying it helps to get a high sheen noticeably better in my opinion, I do agree with quality brushes, if you are doing a job and it is 90+ you can't wait until winter in the shade and floetroll allows the paint to its best even on hot days as long as the paint is not over worked. – Ed Beal Jul 2 '18 at 13:21 Mar 27, 2017 · Yes, it is isn’t it. I'm also going to try and spray BM Regal (Exterior) on the deck handrails and spindles. I'll use the floetrol and/or Water there as well.

Re: Paint thinner (mineral spirits) Julian thanks for clearing that up, that was very informative and I am sure helped others as well. there is definitely a lot to know about solvents for the thousands of different products on the market and manufacturers are not always that clear on what should be used, or rather what would work when the product is starting to thicken up.. from storage etc.
